2011 Concorde Stakes Nominations

August 29th, 2011

The Group 3 Concorde Stakes is set to run at Randwick Racecourse this Saturday September 3, 2011, and here you will find the latest list of nominations for the race.

The Concorde Stakes 2011 is worth $125,000 in prize money and is run over a distance of 1,100 metres.

Run under quality handicap conditions, the 2011 Concorde Stakes is open to horses aged three-years-old and upwards.

11 horses have nominated to be part of the 14 horse capacity horse racing field, which includes Nick Olive’s Zaratone.

Zaratone won his last start in the Listed Starlight Stakes at Rosehill and is being aimed towards the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.

“He’ll go to the Concorde next and we’ll just take it from there,” Olive said.

”If he was going well enough (he’ll head to Melbourne).

”The other thing is if they mark him in his races they beat him.

“If they get going on doing that here I might take him away somewhere else where he might catch them napping again.”

Also included in the 2011 Concorde Stakes nominations are Decision Time, Master Of Design, Motspur and Obsequious.
